Thread: Torn shock covers

    Default Torn shock covers

Just noticed that all my rubber shock covers are torn. How important are these and how much will they cost me to replace if I decide to replace them?

The OEM shock covers also include the bump stops. They get old and crunchy, and the bump stops get hard. Very important to the suspension IMHO. You can get new OEM for around $20-$25 each (I think.) Good time to replace your shocks while you're at it!

Some people have been known to cut off the bump stops and re-use them with some Rancho shock boots.
