    Default Weather is getting nasty

According to the forcast, it looks like it's time to break out the Jeep. Freezing rain tonight through Wednesday morning. It will be cold enough for freezing to occur by Tuesday morning.

Ice Storm warning in effect from 6PM tonight to noon on Wednesday.

They have increased the estimate of ice accumulation from the initial estimate of 1/10" to a quarter inch and up to a half inch in some areas.

One of the more reliable computer models for this area is forecasting the freezing precipitation starting at 5am tomorrow, quickly followed by sleet lasting until early Wednesday morning.

Window scraping is NOT going to be fun, tomorrow or Wednesday.

With temperatures as high as they have been the last week, i find it hard to believe that roads here in Dallas (actual Dallas) will freeze over. Bridges and overpasses yes.... roads... no.

Either way, I'm in the Lancer this week.

On an unrelated note, when it is sub 40, the miata doesn't want to heat up.... idiot temp gauge never passes about 10 o'clock on the gauge.... one wonders if my thermostat acting up.... any other time temps seem normal.

Had the same problem. The thermostat was stuck open.

Me too... I'm just hoping that the meeting I'm supposed to have in the office is canceled because everybody else is too chicken to make the drive.

Kinda what I figured. Just have to get around to doing it... might help if it was a bit warmer. Is it as easy as on most other cars?

    15-20 minutes using oem parts.

we tried to do a friends tibby using whatever autozone had on hand. didn't fit correctly, caused the housing to crack when it was tightened down. (doesn't take much tightening either, but we were within spec when it happened)

Had to go get the oem one, and the $15 housing. Turns out the autozone one didn't have the lip to hold it in place, but was the "correct" part.

Lewisville is cancelled all day. It's weird to have a snow/ice day when the streets are fine and the car doesn't even have ice on it yet.

According to a local private weather station that is accessible via the web it was 32.5* when I left the house this morning. Now its 30.5*. Gonna be a fun drive home this afternoon. This weather station is about 1/2 mile from my house.
