I am it. You have to make sure you register as noice and send them an email of your track experience. At least the Apex site is more clear and won't put you on the waiting list! Thanks Gary! Hope that we have enough Miata to make this happen!

Just an update, we have 20 paticipants signed up so far with 15 in the Novice class. If you are a Novice you need to sign up NOW. Please help us out to pass on the word to your friends and by all mean the other forums. We do not want to wait for the last minute as we may have to open to other cars, believe me I do not want to do this. I know about 8 people who are going to sign up which helps, but more are needed.

If you have any questions please do not hesistate to let me know.

What is the limit for the novice class? I want to sign up for this but won't be able to for about a week.

Roll bars not needed for novice class.

I think only the Advanced Group has to have roll bars. Even though I'm sure they would recommend a roll bar to anyone attending the event. This question was addressed on one of the previous posts about this event. I would suggest using the search function to find the post. <I'll look myself and update this post if I find it before I leave to go home>

Jumping in here from Apex with just a few points.

First, roll bars are not required. I cannot reccommend them highly enough, but if you want to assume the obvious risk, then we will allow you.

Third, since this is a big, national event, we do expect to sell out. I can promise you the track time at TMS will be very tame and crowded and this is the only venue that promises to allow you to really stretch your car's legs.

Fourth, watch your mirrors for me when I am on track in one of the several SM Turbo cars we have built (with much asistance from Gary at TDR). Resistance is futile.

Mike, that is old information as far as instructing goes. This is a full Apex drivng school event and will be instructors for the Novice for all sessions unless they sign you off. Intermediate receive instructors on request, example maybe the first and second sessions to get a head start and Advanced can request.

Roll bars as Keith stated above.

Thanks for trying to help out Mike.

Sorry, dind't mean to post up that old outdated info. I know in this thread that information was revised. I was just posting it up in its entirty because it addressed the roll bar part. I wasn't thinking about the rest of that information not being accurate anymore.

Just to make sure no one is confused I'm editing that post just to reflect the question about the roll bar.

Not a problem. I know your busy and don't spend a lot of time watching the boards.

We need to get people to sign up for this.

If you are thinking of going, please sign up so we can be assured this event happens.

MSR is a great track. It is Miata friendly and very safe with no retaining walls to hit. The track has a great surface with plenty of challenging and fun turns. You will not be disappointed.
