Roger Ebert calling trickyrix...and he's got two thumbs up!
Just saw The Wrestler last night, and I have to say that it was one of the best flicks I've seen in a long time. With a straight face, I can say that Mickey Rourke should get a friggin Oscar for this one - I guess it takes a washed-up, burned-out '80s movie star to play a washed-up, burned-out '80s wrestler. For anyone who grew up around here watching the Von Erichs every Saturday morning on channel 39, this is right up your alley. For anyone that ever wanted to see Marisa Tomei play a filthy-hot stripper on the verge of retirement... well, you got that too. Having said that, it's not what you'd call a feel-good family movie. In fact, it's pretty brutal at times... but it was worth my money.

See? What'd I tell you guys?
Mickey Rourke was nominated for an Oscar... and, uh, he's going to be at Wrestlemania 25.
Still, go see it if you haven't... it's damn good. I'm curious to see how it plays out from here. Calling Amtrack...![]()
