Weather was awesome on Saturday -- what was the hardtop doing on the car?!
Scales hit 2420 pounds. This includes a 30-pound bag in the trunk that I forgot to remove. Delete that and I'm at 2390. Also had the hardtop on it, so that's an additional 30 or so. Down to 2360 now, and that includes approx. 7 gallons of fuel.
I guess that's in the ballpark...

Where'd you get it weighed?

8/16/08 (bone stock): 103.1 hp/99.0 lb-ft - Dynojet
8/23/08 (Borla cat-back): 108.2 hp/104.1 lb-ft - Dynojet
8/13/11 (more stuff...): 126 hp/116 lb-ft - Mustang dyno
Roger Moore: the Danny White of James Bonds
My 1993 was 2,175 lbs in race trim with little gas a no driver.
I'd also like to know where you got it weighed at. And how much it cost, if anything?
I called several truck weigh stations I found online and either couldn't get hold of anyone or was told they would not weight my car.

Drove by the Plano dump and sweet-talked a little old lady into weighing it for me. I think she made an exception for me...

Hardtops weigh between 40 and 50 pounds.

ok, then:
2420
-30 pound tool bag
-40 lbs. of gas
-40 lbs. for hard top
2310 pounds, ballpark.

If anyone is interested, I have a set intercomp proscales we use for the racecars. If there is a tech day or something I could be tempted to drag them out and we could check cornerweights etc before the autocross season.
I need to weigh the msm but haven t had a chance or a level location.
EPA and TCEQ regulate the trash business, so the scales are almost always accurate.
Don't forget that you have 60lb of blower and intercooler in the car too, so you're car isn't that fat. You need to get rid of that AC and power-steering and be a man about it. When was the last time you drove that car and needed the AC? If you're driving a Miata on the street, the top must be down.
I have my AC, power steering, charcoal can, a bunch of random brackets, stock seats, and all the airbag crap sitting in a box, ready for the scale.
Unfortunately the turbo stuffs weighed 80lb+. I want the car under 2250.

1 pound resolution. Accuracy was quoted at .1 percent. When I am weighing the racecars, it will read the small adjustments on the crossweight when we are adjusting the sway bars. We shoot for less than two pounds variance between wheels.
They are accurate enough I use them for weighing small aircraft. The CG functionn is pretty useful when playing around with ballast or weight jacking.
I can hook them up to a laptop and readout crossweights, cgs, etc. They will also measure and display in percentages. I have the 25th aniverssary Intercomp so it has some extra functions.
Similar to this one but with a different storage case and software.

All I need for them is a set of ramps so that you dont have to jack the car to get on the scales.
Sorry for the hijack.
My 1991 STS2 Miata weighed in at 1978 lbs at the end of 2007.
There was still more to do, but I was getting lazy and figured (correctly) it would sell soon after Nationals.
My new Miata should weigh in right around 1600 lbs. Of course it's being built for X-Prepared.
so, when can I swing by an borrow the scales? I dont' know how much beer and BBQ I can fit in a miata trunk, but we can try.
