    Default FS: Autopower roll bar

Bought this from Jeff_nc a while back, never got around to install it. I pulled my carpet, bought the tools, but had a change of heart last minute. It's this one right here, without the flat cross bar on the bottom. It mounts to the seatbelt tower and in the rear shelf, supposedly easier to install than the hard dog due to this config.

Autopower is not known for having a good finish, so Jeff already spray painted it silver when he sold it to me. I stripped it last night and just shot a few spray of black on it with primer (could have done a better job, but it's good a few feet away). All is missing are the 3/8" bolts and washers you'll need from Ace Hardware (would cost a few bucks to buy).

Asking $160, firm. If you have a cockpit brace though, we could do a trade + cash. Also, looking to buy a cockpit brace lol .

The picture shows it installed in an NB. Will yours fit on an NB? Also do you know if it is approved for SOLO?

I don't think it works with solo because it has no diagonals. I'm not sure about the NB; I just grabbed a pic that resembled it when I typed in googled.

Despite what most think, a diagonal is not required to be SCCA legal. In fact, only the main hoop and a single fore-rear downtube more than 30 degrees from vertical and attached to the top third of the hoop.

It's recommended to use two downtubes and it's suggested that a diagonal be added to the hoop.

What disqualifies most aftermarket rollbars from being SCCA legal is that they use tubing that's too small. For a Miata it has to be 1.5" OD with .120" wall thickness or 1.75" OD with .095" wall thickness.

^Huh, learn something new everyday. I read the diagonal thing after searching at m.net.

I have one on my NB. Fits fine.

If you are 5'11 or higher with long legs be aware it'll impede the seat travel a bit. I'm 5'8" and it fits me fine.

How tall is it from the bottom of the front brackets to the top of the cross bar? Trying to see if this one is taller than the one I have. I have an older one that sits way back and low. The newer Autopower street bar has more height.

    Willing to ship?

^From the top of the front bracket to the top of the cross bar is roughly 12 inches (I used a piece of a paper to measure and it cleared the paper by only an inch or so).

Thank you! Sounds like the same bar I already have. Was looking for a little more height. That's a great price. Should be gone already.

Yeah, yeah...it's tempting me pretty badly. I'm almost hoping you'll sell it before payday so I don't have to go buy it

Well, it's going to be here for a while if no one buys it. I don't plan to advertise on craigslist until near summer or so.
