Tie rod ends are a finer thread on the power rack than the manual rack, so you have to change the ball joints too.
Does the manual steering rack on a 92 NA use different tie rods than the power rack, or is it a direct replacement?
I ask because my car has a depowered rack, but I don't think that will be legal for SCCA Stock-class. I have the parts to re-power the rack, but I can also get a manual rack for $100. I don't mind doing the swap, but probably won't if it also requires changing a bunch of other parts.
