Thread: Roll bar fit question... need the width of the NB rear window.

Default Roll bar fit question... need the width of the NB rear window.

BR would probably be the best one to answer this one since we've got the same basic roll bar, but anyone with an NB could answer this. If you get a chance, could you measure the width of your NB rear window at its widest point? Not the "viewable area" but the width including the hard parts surrounding the window. I busted out the tape measure on my rear window today and compared it to the width I've got between the rear down-tubes on my roll bar, and I swear the Robbins top has to have a wider glass window - I measure 33.5" at the widest point.

I've got 33" between the rear tubes on the roll bar.

I just measured my 2000, and it was about 33.5" as well.

It depends on where you measure. I measured about two inches down from the top, about where the window and rear braces meet. Mine measures 33".

BTW, at the widest point, about in the middle it measures 35". I have a 2003 top.

    That sucks Rick.

    That does suck Rick.

Let me know if you plan on taking the roll bar out for any reason because I need to take mine out too, and don't know the procedure.

Well, it may not suck after all... I'll re-measure tomorrow where the window and rear braces will meet. It looks like my window tapers down at the top.

    Thanks for the numbers!

BTW, the roll bar's not in yet, but I'm going to start cutting and fitting this week while I'm working at home.

Well if you want to do a big chunk of it in one day then let me know and I'll come out and help and you can show me how to remove mine at the same time.
