Who is going besides Jerrett? Jerrett are you running street tires this event?
edit for pos racing.
First event of the lscbmwcca. It's at Mineral wells on 3/7/09.
The cost is $25 for members and $35 for non members
The classing system from their site...
Non-BMWs
Non-BMW classes are X thru Z and placement is based on manufacturers’ published engine displacement specifications. Engine displacement is rounded to the nearest tenth of a liter. For example, 2,948cc = 2.9L, whereas 2,950cc = 3.0L. § A forced induction displacement multiplier of 1.5 is applied to all non-BMW turbocharged and supercharged engines. For example, a 2.0L turbo engine is classified as a 2.0L X 1.5 = 3.0L engine. This multiplier applies whether the forced induction is done by the original manufacturer or installed as an aftermarket upgrade.
§ Rotary engines are assessed a displacement multiplier of 2.0. For example, a 1.3L rotary engine is classified as a 1.3L X 2.0 = 2.6L engine
NOTE: Rotary engines that have forced induction are assessed both displacement multipliers. For example, a 1.3L turbo rotary engine is classified as 1.3L X 1.5 X 2 = 3.9L
Class X: Non-BMW vehicles less than 2.1 liters (except S2000 and Lotus Elise)
Class Y: Non-BMW vehicles greater than 2.1 liters and less than 4.0 liters. (including S2000 & Elise)
Class Z : Non-BMW vehicles 4.0 liters and above
The use of “R” compound or “slick” tires on a Non-BMW moves the vehicle up to the next higher class.

I haven't been to MW in quite a while are there any places to eat breakfast? I also only remember how to get to Weatherford's downtown...what time are you guy's leaving?
There's some fast food down 180 just past the turn in for the airport (MCd, Burger King etc).
I'm leaving around 7 AM to get there by 8:30 (don't need to change tires, yay). You're welcome to catch up with me somewhere around I-35 going through downtown Ft. Worth of I-30 and follow me into MW if you like.

MiataMoto and I are meeting at the McDonalds on exit 418 (the Ranch House Rd exit off I-20) at 7 AM for breakfast.
The B&B was not as nice as it looked in the brochure, but the event was a lot of fun.
What looked like a total mess of a course on the walk turned out to be a pretty fun one. There was a really tight section in the beginning that required a lot of patience but from there on it was balls to the wall fast! 60 mph sweepers all over the place and some pretty fast slaloms.
Once again the STS car was great. We ran it in the morning and managed some good times and ran my NC in the afternoon. We were able to abuse the big brakes, big tires, ABS and extra power of the NC to run faster on this course, but if there were more transitional elements I think it would have been a lot closer of a match.
jrj512 and I ended up with 1st and 2nd in X class. I'm glad we're back in the racing season!

I really liked Miatamoto's NC. If they had a STX2-style class, then I would be there next season in an NC.
