Hey all,
One of my co-workers has a late '90s Mitsubishi Montero Sport that is in need of a new timing belt and water pump. She has no interest in paying dealer prices, and she's concerned about finding a trustworthy mechanic to help her keep this truck running for awhile without taking advantage of her.
Any recommendations for a good, honest general mechanic in the Garland/Plano/Richardson/Rowlett area?

Don't know if he wants the work or not. www.baertrax.com in Dallas.
Russ Baer specializes in off-road vehicles and fabrication but he is an ASE certified mechanic. I trust him with evey vehicle I own. I trust my life to him every time I take my Jeep out. He built the cage that is in it.
Another is:

I would trust this guy with anything I own as well. He diagnosed the AC problem in my truck in about 30 minutes after the previous shop had tried for months to figure it out.
