Nothing broken, a few aches and pains, nothing a week on pain pills won't take care of. I started looking for my replacement in the emergency room on my Iphone! I'm not sure if insurance will total it or not. I know it will never run the same so either they get it, or I part out the goodies. It’s getting harder to find a low milage 99. I may go slightly newer, but not much newer than a 02-03.

Bummer. I'm glad you are OK.

I was in the far right hand lane with no traffic in front of me. The two lanes on my left were at a complete stop and two cars in the stopped lanes made room for a truck that was coming towards us to turn directly in front of me. He pulled straight through both lanes into my path. Even he said he never saw me. I had about two car lengths to stop at 25 MPH.

It looks like a high bar or bumper tried to peel back your hood and fender from the front left corner. Glad you weren't driving faster. Good luck on your hunt. I understand the 99-00's were last year without VVT in case you go FI on your next one.

Did the airbags go off? I cant really see in the picture, but it doesnt look like it. Glad you are ok. These cars seem to be able to take some pretty big hits.

The air bag did go off. I had a Nardi steering wheel with out a bag, so just the belt held me tight. The center console lid snapped off and went flying, but the cockpit was pretty secure. This is what happened to his truck:

I have to admit, I’m not sure if a wheel without a bag will go back in no matter how good it looked.

It looks like I’m buying POSIII if I can unseal it from its hermetically sealed cocoon! I can’t wait to put a 12 inch tall wing on the back! OKOK put down the pitchforks, just kidding. I do want to thank Sammm for leading me in that direction. If you would have asked me what I wanted I would have said “A triple black 99 Sport” and there it is.

Excellent! You would have a tough time finding a nicer example of an unmolested '99 Sport!

Unmolested? Are we talking about Mick's car?

Glad to hear you came through it OK. That kind of accident really sucks.
