I think that high performance cars will have a good foothold in America even in harder economic times. It is too much ingrained in the car-centric lifestyle here. I can imagine the justification "more sensible than a [insert v-8/10/12 gas guzzler here]". I remember when popular car mags here were singing the praises of how evo and STi were cheap performers. Whether or not they are cheap... you guys can fight over. I'll continue riding my bicycle everywhere I can.
