Default Wife's 2008 Solara SLE Convertible

The wife is in California this week at her mom's. I have been driving her car around. And while it is not a Miata, this car will just down right move. Its smooth as silk at 85~90 MPH and accelerates like a bat out of hell. 225 HP 3.3L V-6 with 240 ft lbs of torque and a 6700 RPM readline mated to a 5 speed automatic that you can hardly feel the shifts even under hard acceleration.

For a 3600 lb. car it is pretty responsive to steering but would not even consider it for AX. Not a lot of wind buffeting in the cabin with the top down even at 85~90.

For its intended use as a top down cruiser it does it's job amazingly well. Think I will bring it out to Keller's tomorrow night.

I've been trying to talk my dad into getting one for my mom, but he doesn't like the looks.

You know you've been driving a Miata too long when you think a car with a 16:1 power to weight ratio is fast...

There's a reason the Solara has been canned. It's the chickest of chick cars

That and noone was buying them.

What's funny is now Infiniti is selling the G37 drop top (ugly as hell too). It's like they don't see history repeating?
