This guy might be selling. I wanted to scope it out for a friend, but he decided to look at an NB instead (or a friggin' BMW 1-series... go figure).
Is anyone selling a Miata or any other small car in good condition?
My fiancée is looking to spend about $2000 or up to $4k depending on the condition of both engine and body. Some imperfections (small hail dents, rock chips, light scratches, etc.) are ok.
Automatic is preferred, however she is fine with a manual.
She has about $1,500 right now and if possible would like to pay in increments with a signed and notarized legal contract.
<that's what happened to her old one. But she's decided to learn to really drive, so it won't happen again :)

I told him about that one, but it has been on CL for a long time.
I wonder whats wrong with it?
Then again under $2k for less than 100k.
No idea if this is a good car or not, but I passed by it at David McDavid Honda in Frisco. http://hondafrisco.mcdavid.com/Preowned-AutoRevo.aspx (you'll have to search for the car, since I can't link to the exact car. It's a white 1991 listed at $3,988 ) The price is too high with that mileage, so I'm guessing you could get a lot off their asking price, but the car looks to be in pretty nice shape. And it has an automatic, which is fairly rare in the NAs...

Or you can buy mine with that minus the hard top for $3200. New tires, clutch, tranny fluid, and supercharger belt. It's a bit rough though on the looks.
I've got one, but it might stretch the budget at $4500.
It's a base model 1999 in Twilight Blue Mica (metalic dark blue, see colors at M.net).
It's got around 120K and a three inch rip in the top where they all split over the bow. The AC hasn't worked in years. But the interior is in fantastic shape with very good seats. The motor is strong and there are no issues with daily driving the car. It does have PS despite being a base model. I put a set of '97 15" STO wheels on it which I think are more attractive than the NB wheels. It's all stock and unmolested. It's also got new Falken sporty all season tires with only three months of use.
I'm familiar with the entire history of this car. My brother bought it new in '98 and it lived in San Francisco and Palo Alto most of it's life. I bought it from him when he moved to Germany, then sold it back to him when he came back, and then bought it again when he moved to Hong Kong. It's got a Texas title.
It's in Clear Lake, south of Houston. If she's interested I can take pics of the good and the bad.
