Hello all. I'm new to the forum, introduced by way of our friend jrj512, Jerrett "Jimmy" Jan. He and I have worked at the same place for many years, and he's gotten me very interested in autocrossing. I've done 3 events in my slightly modded '04 Saturn Vue Red Line (no, I don't always come in last either!), and most recently in JJ's '93 Miata. Well, I want to take my participation to the next level, and after driving his car, I've decided I need a track car that won't break the bank, so I'm looking for a car to drive (damn you Craigslist!). Based on recommendations, I'm mostly interested in a first-gen MX-5 with the 1.8L and of course a stick.
I'm eager to learn and get seat time, so if anyone is up for a co-driver at upcoming events, let me know! Hopefully by this fall I'll have my own car and my poor Vue won't have to suffer any more autoX abuse (but I think she likes it, to be honest).![]()
Welcome aboard.
I bet jrj512 wouldn't mind if you continue to grind his stick...

Oh, I know how you guys are. I like it that way. We're like that at work too. Here's something my QA guy and I throw back and forth at each other a lot...
But maybe that's just being juvenile. Either way, if your friends can't give you a hard time, then you're a wanker.Code:/´¯/) ,/¯ / / / /´¯/' '/´¯¯`·¸ /'/ / / /¨¯\ ('( ´ ´ ¯~/' ') \ ' / '' \ _ ·´ \ ( \ \
