We're in! See you guys tomorrow...
2.0L turbo with 180 treadwear tires = class 2, right?
We plan on doing a parade lap before heats 1 and 2.
Another great NTAXS event! A fun and fast course...hit 3rd gear in a couple of spots. Great turnout and everything ran smoothly.
Stay tuned for the next one in September!
Yep, it was a fun event. Thanks to Miatamoto and Onething for helping me unload everything at my house after the event.
I forgot to switch from Miatamoto's number to my number for my PM runs, so they all got credited to Miatamoto. It also appears that AXWare can only store 10 runs, so I was able to recover runs 5 and 6, but 7 and 8 are gone. Of course, 7 was my fastest. Oh well, I have only myself to blame for not switching the numbers. Oh, what the heck, I will go ahead and blame POS Racing, too, for no good reason. Stupid POS Racing.
That sux, sorry to hear that. Great course today. I really enjoyed it!

/\ Indeed. Thanks for the great course jrj512. Thanks to lost216, POS Racing and sammm for the ride alongs. I didn't get into third gear, but I did bang the rev limiter (just a little, honest, really).
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Had a blast as usual. Track had a great combo of corners and straights.
I finally got my autocross-tan this season! I now have permanent white ankle socks for the summer!

Let's hear if for sammm. He's usually a slacker, but yesterday everytime I looked up he was filling in where needed and working all day - even during his heat!
OTOH - he did knock me outta trophies in the afternoon, and I've never won a trophy at a NTAXS event
Just want to say big THANKS to all that helped out at the event! Everything went smoothly and we were done early, great course and good weather too.
I was fighting with my old tires all day, and resulted in lots of big spins. Here are couple of my videos to those interested.

Autocross sounds like fun. I want to try it sometime.
Great event, guys and gals! We had a blast despite the rising afternoon heat. Getting times to improve in the afternoon session was tough and took liberal spraying of the tires - too hot to touch! (thanks to Hal for loaning me a water sprayer) We took some pictures when we weren't driving, in heats 2 & 4 (sorry for the lack of diversity), but we still need to edit and post the in-car video and DL-1 data.

Our EVO works really well on courses like that - well, except for the tight slaloms. The SST semi-automatic transmission was shifting its brains out and I couldn't count the number of shifts it made during a run. My wife Amy was pushing my times all day and I barely pulled out a faster time on my 6th run. By then I was overheated and ready for some air conditioning and Gatorade.
