I understand...you have to consider 'all things stock.'....and Sport springs are not legal for you, right? Bummer, those springs help alot.Originally Posted by sammm
Wrong Sparky! Shocks are one of the things that may be changed/upgraded and still allow the car to run in Stock class.Originally Posted by joe.MIATA

I understand that the shocks are changable, but the SPRINGS are not.
Why don't you just get the whole SPORT assembly and step out of those long SCCA lines. :)
What is the difference in the springs on a '99 Sport vs. '99 Standard?
Was there any difference in spring length?
Some of us still like the SCCA Sparky... although I'm not sure why we do... :P

Keith at FM seems to think there shouldn't be any problems. I ordered a set Friday night, so we'll find out for sure when they get here.Originally Posted by joe.MIATA

I'll chime in with some feedback from Mazda Motorsports.
When I was asking about the legality of the club sport package, Brian Burrows did say that the regular springs and the bilsteins were not compatible. I did not ask why because I had the hard-s springs.
The regular springs from the 2001 LS are longer than the hard-s springs.
