    Default Which Ones?

If price and tread wear were not a factor, which tire would you get. The Nitto NT-01's or the Dunlop Direzza Star Specs??? I'm stuck and don't know which one to choose. I'm leaning towards the Nitto's because they offer 225/45ZR-15's and the Dunlop's only offer 195/55R-15's. Let me hear you opinion's please. I have to order some new tires by mid next week.

For Autocross? I believe the Nittos are designed more for the track and will be hard to get warm at an autocross.

Yes for autocross. Didn't put in the first post.

what width rim are you using? 225 might be too wide for stock rim width and actually perform worse than the 195... Why write-off the Kumho XS? Just curious..
Maybe 4 wheels aren't so bad after all... wickett.org

You should read Grassroots Motorsports since the Kumhos were the fastest in their comparison this month, or at least go look at the SCCA forums for Street Tire classes.

Me and my Co-Driver got a set of the Kumhos and we have been very disappointed with them..... YMMV

Hmm, alot of people on another forum recommended the kumho's as well. Think I might go with those.

The NT01 is an r-comp, so you can't use it in either N or ST, so be prepared for that. I'd think if you were going r-comp for autocross, the standby hoosier a6 or Kuhmo v710 is the better way to go.

For street/dual use for a daily driver, the star spec is hard to beat. I think the other ST honda guys like the RE-11 too.

Dammit R-Compounds. Oh well. I'm either going Kuhmo or sticking with the falkens 615's I guess.

Kumho EcstaXS is leagues better than Azenis (breaks my heart, they were the first tires to treat me right).

I have no experience with them in AutoX though.

I have the 195/55/15 Start Spec on 15x8 6ULs, and previously I used RT-615 on the same wheels. I have only autocross on them but I much prefer the Star Specs. They grip abit better than the 615, does not get greasy as quickly and breakaway much more progressively. They are also much better on the street, very civilized and seem to wear better.

The taller size may hurts gearing and rub on big bumps, but I have not had much problems with that.

There's so many good new 15" street tires out, I will also look into RE11, AD08, and the RS3.

Ordered the XS's today. I'll give those a run probably through the summer unless I HATE them.
