'Not ready' is usually from the battery being disco'd and not enough drive cycles since it was hooked back up.
Or it could be a clueless inspector.
Took the car in to get it inspected and it failed because 4 systems were in a "not ready" condition. No codes have popped in in a few years. No new battery. Two conditions that may have a bearing on this:
1. Filled the tank up this morning
2. 400 pound dude squeezs his fat arse in my Sparco's, flogs the pedal and promptly stalls the car when applying the brake test. Restarts the car and drives it into the garage where he hooks up the diagnostics.
Could it be the stall reset sumptin in the computer or is the computer going tits up?
I live where even the coyotes won't go...

Go to a different place. I had one place fail me because the headlights were too low on a lowered car. Drove down the street, other place passed me. Before you decide it is you make sure it is not them.
You need better friends.
What's left of a '96 Miata with stock clutch.
My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.
