haha I did not mean to make them competitive classes like that. It was something just for comparisons, but never mind I take it back. Classing is a bad idea.

ya, and I'd need an AWD dyno, so be sure to bring that

classing = a bitch no matter how you slice it.

The systems the NTAXS and BMW clubs use aren't fair, but they work well enough. If you want the series to grow into something bigger... then classing will become important. As will running it on something other than the Mineral Wells junk asphalt. Of course, the costs will treble or quadruple, so that's a bummer.

When I rode observed trials 30 years ago there were only three rules for the motorcycles, 1) must have a muffler, 2) must have a front fender and 3) must have approved pattern tires (no knobbies). The riders were classed: master, expert, amateur, novice and beginner. Honda Trail 50 straight up against the Bultaco Sherpa T 350, if the riders were in the same class.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

    Mmm, amateurs.
A Z06 is just like a Miata, but with the other half of the motor . . .

So FWD could have FWD unlimited (10 lbs/hp +) FWD Standard (under 10 lbs/hp) and then if your on R comps you just would tack an R on.

Notating the classes could be UAWDR for unlimited AWD with R comps. What does anyone else think? It would not need to be put on the cars, just on the timing sheets.
    You have it backwards.

You want less pounds per HP for more performance.

Unlimited would be 10 or less lbs per hp.

I'm not a fan of MW but any means but I will say that it's MUCH more bearable in an open road course style course format than a tight auto-x. I actually had fun at the last BMW event when they ran a PCA time trial course.

Default Time Trial at MW 7/25/09

I enjoyed the TT event at MW on 7/25/09.
Big course. Number of laps only limited by how much
    rubber & gas you brought.
Keep going till anal spincter can't take anymore.
I'm still slow, but its a faster kind of slow.
Thanks for providing this next step up (speed) from AX.
Looking forward to next time. Will bring the MS3 to finish
    off the factory rubber.
Bottom line: Good fun, good people, good time, good protein based meat
    tubes.

Yet again it was an awesome event. Very relaxing to just go out and have as many runs as you could possibly want. It was also nice to talk to the Vorshlag guys & girl who brought out the Evo and LS swapped BMW. The car is so much more enjoyable at higher speeds, and it is a bit of a treat to get that pleasant lift off oversteer. I also had Barry (one of the Vorshlag drivers, and about 100x more experienced then I am) drive my car to get a kind of goal time.

He ran a 104.34 and my fastest lap before the timing broke was 105.15 so I am pretty pleased with that.

Here are some of my runs the only little slide I got on video was on lap 4 of the video.

Great event, enjoyed this track the best out of the two events I have attended.

Here is the video from the 5th session I believe. Not perfect driving by any means, but the best camera angle out of the 5 I tried.
