Default Whadja get for Fathers Day?

For those that have kids (that they know about) what did you get for FD? This is what I got from my 82 year old Mom...

I got the pleasure of spending the day with my 87 year old father. I got a really cool work light and two shirts. I am nobody's Dad, but my brother's kids used to get me stuff and he still does it.

I gave my Bro and Dad really cool radio/earprotectors with MP3 ports and the movie Bait Shop.

We also bought Dad & his SO lunch.

Had to work today so we did Dad's day yesterday.

1.) Son treated me to Starbucks in the am.
2.) Son treated me dinner at place of my choice.
3.) Spending all day and night with my son = priceless.

Rellay have to make time to do it more often. It was lots of fun and laughs.

Mom and I arranged to get all five of my dad's brothers and sisters together for brunch with my grandad - normally it's like herding cats, but it went off without a hitch.

While we were out, my canine child (apparently part goat) dug into the trash and scattered last night's cookout remnants all over the kitchen floor - eating the edges off the paper plates and licking the middles clean.

    Good girl...

    Have you been following Tim?

I got peace and quiet. My dad died 17 years ago, I don't get along with my siblings and I don't have any children. I got to relax and do yard work. I deal with computers all day long and manual labor is a nice change of pace.

I spent the better part of the day mowing and cleaning around my dad's gravesite and repairing some of the split rail fence that the cattle have damaged. He would have been 70 this weekend, so Father's Day is a time of reflection every year. Happy Birthday Daddy.

I'm not a father and lost my dad last month. He was on my mind more than usual yesterday.

Kid's/Grand kid's over for beer, ribs and the pool. Polished off the evening with wine and good cigars with my son-in laws. Not a bad day at the Nordin house.

She told you about the other man and the paternity test again?

Sunburn! Had great time with the boys and in a kiddie pool on the patio. SPF 70 my ass; all that normally covered white skin burned quickly and deeply. Fun though and I'd probably do it again.

I can't say, I'm sure it would get deleted if I did. But the wife gave me a DAMN GOOD gift.
Wealth, power, and experience are apparently not enough to save us from social influences. Groupthink, as described by I.L.Janis, is the tendency for group members to reach a consensus opinion, even if that decision is downright stupid (Janis 1982).

This is one holiday I'm thankful for not getting gifts.

I bought my dad a bottle of Crown and spent most of the day hanging with the fam.
Oh, well I've got two sevens, and two sevens beats a frush.
