What are those, cooling fins?? Looks like a bunch of fan clutches from an old dodge truck bolted to rims. But hey, they're JDM right.

Been told that Mugen wheels are expensive due to rarity and functional features like brake cooling.
'99 Brilliant Black MX-5
Tien S-Techs, Torsen, Mazdaspeed Short Throw Shifter, Deleted cat, 01 exhaust manifold (cat delete), custom short ram, JR Plug Wires, Autopower Rollbar, 01+ bumper and smoked headlights with 6000K HID, tinted tails and corners, Enkei RSF-2 16x7 for daily and stock 14" for the track.
No, they're expensive because they're mad tite JDM, yo. And the Honda fanbois will pay for them.

That's a cheap price for the high-buck Honda crowd. The exclusivity factor goes a long way in getting top dollar.
They look a bit less ugly with the cover plate, but alas, these don't have the covers...
'90 "LE" available for purchase soon
2008.5 CWP MS3: JBR 70d trilogy engine mounts, short throw shifter & shift plate bushings; AST 4100 w/ 400lb springs f/r; JRZ camber plates
^ +1 Mugen stuff fetches top dollar in the Honda world + these are very rare since they have been out of production sice the early to mid 90's.
Mugen is to Honda much like Mazdaspeed is to Mazda. These wheels are pretty hard to come by kinda like someone's Mazdaspeed seats. Albeit they are much easier on the eyes than the wheels.
This is what they look like with the covers
Another set of wheels that are pretty rare and cost a good penny are Spoon Sports SW388. At best you can find a set of Desmond Regamaster EVO's, or go the cheap route and get some Rota Slipstreams. But then again Slips aren't forged and weigh a ton compared to the SW388's.
