Congrats on a successful weekend at Hallett. Sure sounded sweet coming by us on the back stretch before turn 10!

I think everyone was excited to see a fix for a chronic problem...and possibly see the first turbo Miata in Dallas show some form of reliability.

Thanks. I know its childish, but the noises sure add to the fun factor. It sounded NASTY in 4 with lots of throttle modulation making the wastegate and blow off growling/barking/cracking.

    this is my new drama:

and I desperately need a real differential.

Wow, just read this thread for the first time. Where have I been? Great looking setup, that manifold is just SICK! I'll bet your rotors were glowing around Hallet.

got the manifold back today with new gussetting on the primaries and wastegate flange:

Nothing broken but reinforcements were added because the builder was worried about harmonic damage.

my garage neighbor builds guitars in his wood-shop and all the dust comes over, and he leaves the radio on the country station so I have to listen to white-trash sing about how they love their momma and miss their dog:

but I did the "real water temp" cluster retrofit today

thought about taking apart my RX7 clutch diff, but became annoyed and moved on

I really need this diff for the track, bad. I basically have no LSD action unless pointed straight/gay-ly forward
and put my Absurdflow stuff half way together awaiting the CHRA delivery on Friday:

BTW, nice hardware. I would love a ride in that thing when you have it going again. You still in Lewisville?

I think its a formula of loving x and missin y, so you can substitute whichever value you see fit.

The car should run tomorrow and yes, still in Lewisville. My boss has a GT-500 now so I must get the boost controller on it and run 18psi, rather than the measly 11.5.

    I love this car.

Looks like I'm pulling 0-60 at 4.6 or so, 0-100 at 7.8 on 205 Nitto NeoGens on 15x8s according to pocket-dyno and a neighbor with a stop watch. I'm still walking it off the line because I don't like working on cars enough to try to break it. I can go full throttle at about 5200rpm, lol.

Nice progress. Hope you don't need that tow hook any time soon.....

The new "Trackspeed" kit that uses corrado rotors. Its been track tested by a man so those of us who also drive like men can rest assured that it works. I'd get the Goodwin kit but well, the rotors are $320.00 more per set, lol.

Are the wilwood calipers the same as the ones on the GoodWin kit or are they different?
