Okay Guys, I'm needing to rebuild the shifter bushings in my shifter. I'm sure the core of the issue is that the little bushing on the very bottom of the shifter has taken a dump. But, I figure, as long as I'm in there, I may as well replace everything so I'll have a great shifter. The problem is, there seems to be an issue with what we believe, and what Mazda believes are necessary parts. Here's what I believe I need:
1 - M513-17-480A small boot (I know mine's bad)
1 - 0398-17-462A shiftrod cup bushing (the bottom of the shifter)
1 - M501-17-515 Anti Rotation Bushing (for the groove on the shifter pivot)
2 - 9996-33-130 spacer washers (1 on each side of the white plastic bushings)
2 - M505-17-482 wave washers (1 on each side of the white plastic bushings)
2 - M501-17-481 bushings (the 2 halves of the bushing around the pivot ball)
When I went to the dealership (not naming names), they don't even show the 481 bushings as being part of the shifter. The computer only shows those parts to be for the Mazda pick up! The only parts I could even order were:
boot (480A)
anti rotation bushing (515)
kit with:
- 1 wave washer (482)
- 1 spacer washer (130)
- cup bushing (462A)
That was all that the fiche showed was in the shifter, or available for it.
Am I nuts, or to I still need to find a way to get the rest of my original list????
~Tex
P.S. I'm not calling out the dealership, or parts guy, because he was really nice about trying to look everything up different ways and stuff. He just couldn't find anything that pointed to the other parts being part of the '95.

That's the problem. That diagram doesn't show the 2-piece plastic bushing that surrounds the pivot ball on the shift lever, or the wave-washer & spacer-washer on the bottom of the bushing.

Thats where I ordered mine a while back. I had some questions so I called and the guy I spoke with was very knowledgeable about the shifter bushings. he puts together these pre-packaged kits to make it easier to order.
