Crap, look at all the cars that are going to beat me! M3's, Mini's, Jerrett in a fishing vessel, Iain in the same water craft... sigh.

Don't forget the R32. And the Acura with the hairpiece.

I think you'll be ok against a couple GS (tire) Minis and STX cars. Ken in the STU M3 might be a different story and that STX R32 is pretty quick. Can't wait to see how my crusty S05 Hoosiers from 2005 hold up, should be interesting.

It was a pretty even match between Iain and me at Pennington last time. He was on R888's and I was on nearly corded 2 year old RA-1's. I got him in the PAX runs, but he got me in the regular runs. I'll be on tired NT05s and Iain on new Kuhmo XS's.

And Ken'll beat me... better driver...

    It's ok, I'm out for fun :)

It's a little early to crank up the excuse generator.

I will be on almost new Hoosier's

I'm curious to see how the RX8 stacks up against Ken's car. It's down on power and torque, but it's about 500 pounds lighter with similar sized tires and much better polar moment. I think on the bus lot I stand a good chance against him.

BTW, My XSs aren't new - thery're 2nd hand ken o cast offs.

    Guess we'll find out tomorrow!

Great, so with your reverse excuse generator you should have FTD then right?

I have never driven an RX8 at all, so it will be a learning experience. NMC!

Easy learning curve, like a big forgiving Miata with better brakes.

Most importantly, make sure you SLAM the transmission into each gear as hard and possible to get the best times, the car loves that

    Much better brakes.

Regarding the tranny - you break it, you buy it.
