What makes an Odyssey Battery such a great product? Guaranteed longer service life - The Odyssey battery, with an eight year design life saves you time and money because you do not have to replace your battery as often. It is also the ONLY battery that is capable of delivering a large number of deep cycles - up to 400 when fully discharged or up to 500 when discharged to 80%. Plus, the battery is specially designed for high vibration applications and is backed by a full 2 year warranty. Longer storage life - Unlike conventional batteries that need to be recharged every six to twelve weeks, the Odyssey battery will maintian up to 50% state of charge after 2 years if stored at room temperature (77 F). At temperatures lower than 77 F, storage times will be even longer. Deep cycle reserve power - With true 100% deep cycle capability, with 70% reserve power consumed, the remaining 30% state of charge still provides sufficient starting amps for solid confident starts. Only Odyssey can provide this unique level of performance. Superior cranking and fast recharge capability - The cranking power of Odyssey batteries is up to 60% more than equally sized conventional batteries, even when the temperature is as low as -40 F. Also, Odyssey batteries recharge faster, as there is no limitation on the inrush current with constant voltage chargers. Mounting flexibility - The Odyssey battery may be installed in any orientation except inverted without sacrificing any performance attributes. Superior vibration resistance - Odyssey batteries have endured very rigorous tests that demonstrate thier overall ruggedness and exceptional tolerance of mechanical abuse. Ready out of the box, Odyssey batteries are shipped fully charged. Simply install the battery in your vehicle and you are ready to go! With this battery, there is no need to boost charge, add water, or clean terminals before installing, provided battery terminal voltage is greater than 12.4V.

I'd be interested but not enough moolah at the moment. Is it the same size as a normal Miata battery? And will the stock battery hold down hardware keep it in place?

And that's a good price for an odyssey. How old is it?

WAAAAY smaller than an oem battery. Check the link. I think the stock hold down should work, but an extra bungee would hold it easily. Its really light. I beleive the manufacture date is 08/08

I have a pic of mine installed with the brackets and all, but MME does not seem to like the pic. Send me an email at jrj512 at dfwmx5 dot com and I will send you the pic.

I only use it for Divisional and National events. It has not failed to start the car at those events. I would not use it for any more than that. I doubt that it will start the car on a very cold day.

Used very little, just racing weekends. Manufacture date is 08/08. I put it on my Miata yesterday since my Optima cracked, and I figured it's be good to use it a little and see how it handles daily driving. So far, I can't tell any difference at all, even with lights, defroster and stereo going on my commute. Starts right up every time.

Everything is negotiable, just make an offer. :)

I will vouch for the quality of the PC-680 as well. Had 3+ years on one and only replaced it in error. no problems even when car sat for over a month.

Can you weigh it for me to get an exact weight? I'm interested....but at 16lbs couldn't justify it right now.

I'll weigh it when I take it out this weekend, but the manufacturer states that it is between 15 and 16 lbs.

i may go with one of those yuasa batteries for weight. I think the one you have is more practical...but I'd be using it just for race weekends

Alright, I'm just gonna keep this for race weekends. No takers or offers, so I guess I was meant to keep it.
