Default great deal on a ZR-1

Brand new zr-1 vette, 7 weeks old, owner had it gutted and caged, and had wrap put on it, its a copy cat compuware car, but its genuine zr-1, tracked prepped.
He was leading the thunder nasa race, racing in st-1, and was leading a couple stock car su cars and ran out of talent, did not lift when he got 2 tires in the grass and when he came back on track it snap over steered bouncing off 2 walls, was first time on track with this car.
This was at the nasa races at watkins glen this weekend, all classes were running, american iron,su,etc

It scares me to think about the guys behind the wheel of supercars at the track. They're certain to act in desperation when a FI miata is looking at a pass.

While not everyone running a supercar is a total tool, I agree with the sentiment that most dudes that try to drive that kinda car have more money than brains, talent, or experience.

When I went to the Performance Driving School out at Cresson a few years ago, I was driving my '04 Saturn Vue Redline... and this dude in a brand-new Z06 Corvette was talking smack during one of the breaks about "bringing a knife to a gunfight". The next time out during hotlaps, he came ripping past me on the front straight before the uphill twisties. I stayed right on his tail all the way around until the back straight, and he dropped a tire twice, one time I seriously thought he was going mowing. Pretty sad when the only reason you can get around the track faster than a Saturn station wagon is because you've got 500HP (2x what I have). After that session, I saw him again and said "I may have brought a knife to a gunfight, but at least I can stay on the track."

I would not have tracked that car. Way too much coin. Track what you are willing to walk away from.

Plus I would not have tried to turn back on track from the grass. Ride it out and ease it back on the track. FYI grass does not grip like blacktop.
