Go GM! (Have I been ?) I love Mitsubishi. Let's take the ONE CAR we sell that anyone gives a rat's ass about and void the warranty when car enthusiasts drive it around cones in a parking lot, thus pissing off said car enthusiasts. Nice.

From Autoweek's current Z06 article:
I just sent a link to the article to Mitsubishi's customer service email address, asking them why they couldn't honor the same sort of policy on their "rally-proven performance car" (words straight from their own website). :PSpeaking of track mode, Hill says occasional weekend competition use of your Z06 won’t void the warranty, unlike the case with some other manufacturers.

I read that too, and that is excellent news. A major manufacturer builds a performance car and doesn’t void the warranty just because the car is put to the use for which it was designed. And they are willing to state this in public!
Unfortunately, the cynic in me tells me to “believe it when I see it”. After all, this is the same company (along with others) who is installing a “black box” data logger so that their Service Departments can determine all kinds of things… like how the car has been treated from a "performance driving perspective".
