Thread: Bushings?

  1. #1

    Default Bushings?

So here's the deal, I am getting more vibrations from my car than I like. I am figuring it is in the front suspension bushings, which ones should I replace? Is there a kit that I should look into? My car is on Tokico blues with HKS springs, I need some help here cause I don't know much.

Ya sure it isn't the Tokicos? They don't have a lot of fans around here?

How many miles on the car? How many miles on the Tokicos?

I'm with POS, ditch the POS Junkico's

    Get some Koni's or Bilstein's. Altleast AGX's

Or if you have the $$$, call William.
He will be glad sell you some Teins.

Is that the discount price or retail?

    That's MazdaSpeed pricing.

All stock bushings below can be ordered under one number, 0000-04-BUSH-KT (1990-97 only)

They might have gone out but I put about 5K on the shocks. They pretty much suck and now I am looking into coilovers. What about the Energy Suspension kit?

Teins are the bomb diggity. If street use only the Bilsteins or AGX are decent. You need to bring the car to us or AJ so we can diagnose the problem though.

Have a look at these from 949 racing as well. I just ordered a set but they're still on the way here.

FWIW, my 90 with 275k miles still has good suspension bushings! Of course the upper control arms are not original but were not new either. I just checked my front end at work with our certified master tech. So that said, I'll echo the distain for the Tokico shocks!

Ditto. Years ago I put a set on my '92. They felt great at first. Within months they felt as bad as the completely worn-out stockers I replaced. I had lowering springs too, so that probably hastened their demise, but still it was only months.
