It wasn't so much the cold as my right shoulder being numb... I think I was holding the steering wheel a bit tight when I got hit on Friday.

In any case, there were about 150 cars too many...

I figured it would be a cluster fark...this was apparently cross posted on just about every car club board in the area.

But damn...150 cars! The Octoberfest drive was challenging enough with 25 cars. Glad I passed...

No... 150 too many... I'm guessing there were 175.

At one point, after looking at all the cars, TC gave me this look... and I knew that he was thinking what I was thinking - this could be one helluva cluster fark.

But from what I've read so far on other boards, everything seems to have come off fine. A couple of mechanical issues but otherwise ok...

Some of the higher powered cars were really flying!!

By the way, I was talking with our Meteorologist and he mentioned that at 9am the temp 26 with a windchill of 19 degrees. Now, at 26 degrees, and a wind of 85 mph (the car speed) would be a windchill near -40.

I can tell you that my teeth were chattering.

I was sick and had to skip out. Stopping to throw up every few miles would have been just too much.

If you are going to continue doing this sort of thing, I'd suggest adding to, not shedding insulation from your body

I keep forgetting to mention the highlight of the trip...

I looked in the rearview mirror and saw papa smurf making / \ signs with his hands... I'm a bit slow, so it took me a while to figure out he wasn't referring to the temperature...

You get a little extra negative camber when you lower the car... An alignment beckons, as I don't think I really want this much.

You two are sooo much more dedicated to this hobby than the rest of us... it was just too cold Sunday morning.

If I was dedicated I would have had my top down...

I think I've driven more miles already this year with the top up than I did all year last year.

I just wish I had brought a heavier coat... I probably would have stuck around longer.

You know it's too cold when even the Azenis won't stick!! Makes for spooky stuff!
