I tried to send him some questions about the repaint, but it was returned as a bad email address.

Is that toilet bowl on the front bumper off center or is it just the angle?

Interesting. Even though I got an invalid e-mail address response, the message got through to the seller. He responded to me, stating, “a car fax shows that the vehicle was involved in an accident”. It was nice of him to leave that out of the listing.
Paint code 18G?
Ohpp... found it... sure enough... 18G Highlight Silver!Originally Posted by Treibenschnell
Then I'd say it was a pretty serious accident to justify a complete respray. If the Car Fax were clean, then you could believe this was just a crazy owner (like the rest of us).
This is why buying cars on E-bay scares me. How many people know enough to look up the paint code from the door jamb? Very few, I'd bet. I know, I know: buyer beware, due diligence, blah blah blah, but these sellers should be more upfront. I notice the seller has "0" feedback. Probably got too many negatives and had to re-register.

If you look close you can see the over spray on the top right corner and along the top edge of the vin sticker just to the right of the R in Motor....
Dunno about the accident but from the pics it looks like a decent respray.
Both door jams and even the engine compartment are yellow.
In fact, the paint code and the obvious fact that yellow wasn't an available color in 00 are the only give aways I see.
Also, it says clear title so the car wasn't a totaled.
Rosenthal Mazda? Isn't that Trussville Mazda? Name sounds REAL familiar.
I was thinking the same thing. I sure I have an invoice that says nissan/mazda too.Originally Posted by droptop
