Well, actually, yes I think that would be fantastic. No really I have no issue with the SCCA classes anymore. I just wish I knew the whole autocross bug was gonna bite before I bought the car because that could have changed my decision.
Plus, there are always other clubs to race with, and the more open classing there helps immensely.
Awesome. Except that OEM shocks wear out quickly, especially when autocrossed. Plus, have you priced an OEM replacement shock? I'd rather be able to buy relatively inexpensive OTS Konis than be forced to replace (more expensive) OEM shocks on a much more frequent basis.
"But it's not fair that I have to compete against guys on sixty bazillion dollar fourteen way adjustable shocks in Stock class." Man up. You still have to drive the car, and those sixty bazillion shocks probably aren't the reason the other guy is kicking your ass. Did you know that B Stock has been won five years in a row by cars on OTS Koni singles? Plenty of people have spent small fortunes on shocks in the class, but that money hasn't bought them a jacket.
