Welcome to this.........
Hey everyone! My name's Ryan. Just bought my first miata about a month ago... a 2002 SE with about 87K miles. I've owned Mazdas only since 97 and currently have three, though hoping to drop one car by this weekend.
I got the car to serve as my daily driver as the '95 protege is on its last legs. I accidentally let it overheat end of summer '08 when we had one of those >100 degree days. I rebuilt the engine with a salvage yard block and it runs perfectly now. Only problem now is that despite smooth engine and drivetrain... the rest of the car is falling apart. You know how it starts.. paint chipping, oxidizing, little dents that you always intend to fix, but really isn't worth it, the headliner sagging and ripping, and not to mention the suspension has been shot since about 2004.
I also have a 1988 RX-7 turboII with less miles on it than the miata I picked up. Its fairly stock-ish, but now that I have a dependable car once again I think I'll work on some upgrades next. The RX-7 was the weekend car, but the miata is quickly taking over that spot!
I'm not autocrossing either car, but look forward to seeing some of your cars out there. Who knows, that seems to be a bug that eventually bites you from what I understand so far. Everyone is very friendly at the Keller's meets I have been to, and I look forward to learning more about this chassis.

PS. Could not figure out how to attach pics, so I am linking a copy.

Welcome. I am starting to like those gen 2 RX7s.
Welcome to the forums. Have fun with your Miata.
(See, I knew your post count was high enough to start a thread.)
Are you going to try breeding those two in the photo? A rotary engined Miata offspring would be very nice.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Thanks guys! I'm hoping to go and see some of you at the track.
This is one of the most unique chassis I've ever driven and has been a blast since I got it.
I know it's possible to swap into a miata with some heavy modifications, but I have my heart on using an early 70s VW Super Beetle with a bridgeported 13B. I'm still working on the details in my head...

Welcome!
I've owned a '99 Miata, but rotary cars are my first love. I learned to drive in my dad's '88 GXL (which I bought from him a few years later), I owned a '93 FD, and I currently own an '04 RX-8.
So let's see some more pics of the FC! I've always had a soft spot for those cars.
