That's too far west for me. :)
Last Sunday after I left the autocross at Pennington I met up with some biker friends at Pappas BBQ on NW Hwy 'tween Loop 12 and Stemmons. They have excellent bbq there and their domestic beers are only $1.25 for bottles or 22 oz. drafts. Outdoor deck and covered parking but I don't think we can leave the deck with beers. Shall we give it a try?

Maybe. It's part of Dallas' historic restaurant row. Here's a pic from google street. So who's up for a meet there? They close 9:30-10pm but we can move to one of the nearby bars for those that want to hang out longer.
Ok who's up for a meet anywhere? Suggestions?
I really wanted to go out, but my head is pounding.
Pick a spot I'll be there.

I'm heading for Pappas. Indoor seating if too cold and deck seating if not. Closer to mid-cities and westsiders. Buck and a quarter beers and we won't have to park in the back. If another location develops I'll head over there 'round 9:30 if it's on my way home.
PS. Any new people coming out I'll be wearing a black Miata 20th anniversary sweatshirt.
I ventured over to the edge of the world last night. Pappas BBQ is a very nice place with very reasonable prices ($1.25 domestic longnecks, $1.50 for 22 oz Shiner draft). TCB approved! There were only 4 of us Eastsiders there (Nails, Quan, Zig and yours truly). Nails ordered a BBQ sandwich and said it was very good. Pappas has a large interior space and a nice covered patio with picnic tables. I don't think you can hang out by your car with beer though.
