See about touching base with Magma. He has a MSM that's making some really nice power. Maybe he'd have some input for ya' on that subject.

He's on a stock turbo with a one-off TDR intercooler setup. On top of that he's running an FM down pipe, MagnaFlow cat back, and a PowerCard, but I'm not sure of the boost controller.

The stock turbo, as stated, is an IHI RHF5 VJ35.

There are no bolt-on upgrades available, you need to swap the manifold to do anything more.

I'm pretty sure there is a hack way to upgrade the turbo without machining, but I don't have the time to pursue that any longer. There are a few places that will upgrade the compressor and port the turbine for you, but all that will effect is spool and IAT's, max power really won't change. It is more limited by the tiny turbine than the tiny compressor.

Jacqui, there are a couple of basic things you can change that will help you in your quest: downpipe and exhaust. Here are a few resources for your consumption:
    BEGi
Flyin Miata group buys (they have some MSM-specific goodies up for a group buy at the moment)
Enthuza exhaust. If the standard 2.5" diameter won't do the trick, he can make a 3" for ya'.

You will be surprise with just how much power you will get from just an intake and MBC upgrade. If you do track your car, I would suggest getting one of the EBay FMIC since the stocker will heat soak so bad after 2 laps of hard driving.

Still looking to 'upgrade' the MSM Eggz? :shifty suspect eyes cause this forum doesn't have the uber awesom :suspect: smilie thingy:
    85 Rx-7 GSL-destroyed by a Durango
    04 MSM-mostly stock
    85 Rx-7 GSL(SE'd)-High compression half-bridged 13B, 650 holley. Now with MORE BRIDGEPORT.
