Since I got my Hackbook, I find I no longer use my toshiba satellite a215. 15.4" widescreen, AMD Tution 64x2 2.0GHZ, 2.0 GB ram, dvd burner, wifi, 160Gb HD.

I will wipe the drive clean and fresh install Vista or maybe even XP if I can find the disc.

tempting..... i'm still on my A-15. They are good hardy laptops. after 7 years mine still works great.... in fact, works better than the vista loaded gateway POS the G/F has.

Since I got my Hackbook...

Hey Magma, what is involved with converting a machine over to Hackbook?

What laptop would make a good canidate for the conversion (specs).

I was thinking of converting a netbook to do this with or one of those entry level laptops they have for 400 bucks.

I suggest picking a netbook others have already proven to work well as opposed to looking at pure specs. The primary issue is the drivers. OSX does not come with drivers for a lot of PC hardware out there, so you must get drivers that have been written by others. As you can imagine they don't exist for every possible hardware combination. Therefore, picking a device that has proven to work well has a hackbook is the best idea to avoid major headaches.
