As long as we are talking about any old nothing: Ever paid $1100 for one tire? I just bought 4 at that price for the Kenworth. They are 445/50 22.5 Michelin XDA, a new super single to replace the duals with a single tire on semi tractors. They are mounted on 22.5 by 14" wide rims. They save about 400 lbs on the weight of the truck and are supposed to increase fuel mileage by 3%. Which comes to about $3000 in fuel savings over the life of the tires. We'll see, besides, they look cool.

So you now have a 14 wheeler! :)
I have noticed more of them on the road in the last couple of years. Does this mean that you can do away with the mud flaps?

Nope. They still throw rocks.
