    Default Ground Control

Got a call from Ground Control Friday to let me know that my new coilovers are on their way. Whooo Hooo I am so very excited about taking the suspension apart again.

I had Tei....Tie...Green Stechs on the car and I loved the stance but they just didn't have what it takes for my 280 lbs. plus a passenger. I will put them up for sale to a lighter person when/if I get them off. Where the heck is global warming when you need it?

    ...to Major Tom.

We should have a Ground Control party. Gabkwong needs to install his GC's too.

I am back in town, hopefully for a while now, so my shop can be available for a tech day.

Sounds like a plan, thanks Titus. I will have to see when they arrive and when I can get setup. Don't let me hold you up if you are in a rush. My shop has electricity too now, but not a lift.

Looks like we are going to do Gab's on Sunday around 10. If that doesn't work for you, you are welcome to the shop any time.. I definitely owe you for all the times you have helped me on projects!

So ... Creek, are you coming? We'll start at 8AM. I have the spring compressors already.

I seriously doubt it. I have tomorrow off so I will probably start on it. I plan to do a lot of piddling and measuring and mulling things over while I do the swap which would bore everybody to death anyway. I'm wondering how the bumpstops are going to work with the top spring adapter plate and stuff like that.

I liked it when we first measured... I believe it was about 11.5 all the way around?

It looked like a show car. We didn't drive it. I don't think we could even able to get it to clear the ramp of the lift! I can tell that it has more grip and the steering wheel is telling me everything! I have the Knoi on 1 turn from full soft (2 1/2 turns from full soft to full hard). It does bobs a little over bumps. I think I will increase the Koni by 1/2 turn. I ran over the RR tracks pretty fast and the RF bottomed out. It was wet and I did not have the rear sway bar connected and the RF sway end link is kind of loose. I will wait till I get those things fixed before I push it hard. Also, I am still dealing with the CEL (P04219)! I'll post some pic when it stopped raining. It sure looks great!
