Default 92 arm rest removal and modification

I removed the arm rests from the Red Baron and installed a small handle and ring that I made and it feels like the car is about a half foot wider.
I know it's only about two to three inches on each side but the difference is amazing.
    Much more confortable to me.
    Here's some pic's if interested.

You should apply some heat to stretch the vinyl or recover the door panels. I like the concept. I might do a leather strap though.

I had thought about that but when finished I started another project and decided to wait and see.
I also had originally thought a leather type strap but didn't find what I wanted and had some 3/4 wide aluminum strap available so............
