Looks like it's been staked in, yup. Compare the first pic with the hub on to the next one with the rotor in place.

Bring this back from death.
My miata is making a grinding noise when turning left, and the noise frequency increases with speed.
Is my passenger side wheel bearing going bad?
I did the pull and push wheel and play is not excessive, but the noise is getting louder.

Yeah what POS said. Wheel play should be pretty much nil. Mine didn't have any serious play either but it was enough to cause an annoying grinding noise.

Tested again last night, both sides don't have serious play. Went ahead and ordered a new hub, will get it replaced before it gets worse.
