Guess he's in your backyard? I have seen one just south of Burleson not too long ago.

They've been around north of Denton for a few years now. I guess the population is increasing.

I have ran over a couple out in West Texas on my way to Lubbock. For some reason they liked to try to see if they could make it across the road before my CRX got to them. it averaged out about 50/50. I hated cleaning the feathers out of the engine compartment. It took weeks.

I had a pigeon fly into my truck window once while I was on the freeway. THAT was a mess, but it was at least on the outside of the truck, can't imagine what one inside the engine compartment would look like.

Did Tim post the pic of the armadillo he caught once on his car?

They probably could not prove they were US citizens in AZ and were deported. :)

Wrong state, but good effort. NM would be the correct answer for Albuquerque.

    Sorry no consolation prizes today.

If you're going to try and bust on someone, read the whole thread and maybe turn on the news every now and then.

A+ for knowing your geography though.

They have roadrunners in AZ too! And I know which state Albuquerque is in, thank you.

There is one that lives on our office grounds. It has been here as long as anyone can remember. It is pretty tame and will let you within a few feet of it, but I plan on catching it as soon as my order from ACME comes in.

Saw one run across the road in front of me near Waxahachie. I knew it right away thanks to my misspent youth.

Do you often spend time at your window with a telephoto lens? What about at your neighbor's window?

Can I at least ride in your short bus?

Yes I missed the one post with AZ in it that was several posts away and not quoted... Ooops my bad. And I know all about what is going on in the news.

Just to be clear that is a Greater Roadrunner which is native to the US. The road runners in Mexico and Central America look different... So this one wouldn't be deported... DUH
