It is the bestest method Evar!
What did you put on the car??
Here's another vote for the long bolt method of changing out the front shocks. Finished mine up this morning in about 40 minutes.![]()

Tossed some 9/6 Flex under the '94.
...and yeah, long bolt was MUCH faster than the "stand on the control arm until you can get the shock out" method. Jeez.
On that note, I'm gonna go stand under a ceiling fan for a while, now. That was a warm job.

BTW just yanked the front shocks out of my '94 this morning there is no need to loosen the sway bar mount.
YMMV
Well I have fans in my garage, so it wasn't too hot, plus there was cloud cover. Still only took about 2 hours for the whole shebang. I didn't have to remove the top hats though, so that saved a ton of time.
Japanese must have small hands because getting those nuts off behind the fuel lines was.... tight.
im sure the nuts and hands are all sized accordingly :p lol^ what suspension did you go with sean?
just a flyin' miata spring/sway/tokico shock. So fairly basic and compliant for now.
