Thread: Innexpensive Wireless router

    Default Innexpensive Wireless router

Anyone have an extra wireless router laying around? Preferably "B", but anything will work. cheap is the key, as it is out of my pocket to use at work. I snagged a netgear wgr614, but i can't seem to get the wireless to work reliably and quickly, and after researching a bit, I don't seem to be the only one. So.... hoping to try something else.....

Frys typically has their airlink junk on sale for <$20 for a wireless router.

imsuchanoob, i'm buying equipment for work out of my pocket, i won't be reeimbursed. i already 'donated' my screen and the computer is built from old parts i had. i'd rather not spend another $50. i was hoping someone had a decent router that was obsolete. an old wireless b netgear will likely be more reliable than a cheap airstream from fry's.

I have a Linksys WRT54G v5 that I'm not using anymore. The only "issue" is that I don't have the OE power supply. I used the one from a D-Link router I had, and it worked fine. Will include.

Free, but you have to come to Haslet to get it. Lemme know.

I have one from my Verizon DSL, not sure what the model is but my contract is up and they told me to keep it. Free if you want it.

My car is down for another week or so, schedule permitting, so I'm not going anywhere anytime soon
