Default Closest place to dfw you can get bottle rockets

And I don't mean the crappy kind. I'm talking the box of little ones that come in packs of 12.

I heard those were illegal in Texas for some reason, not sure though. FWIW a good friend of mine co-ownes a fireworks stand and doesn't sell any of them, that's all I know. I can ask him about it later today.

I have another friend bring me a bunch when he travells to Missouri. And yes they are bad ass. I'm watching this thread because I want some too.

Ok so Texas allows all fireworks but specifically bans the little ones according to this site...and everywhere else I looked.

I live less than a mile from 2 of the Lake Lavon stands. They no longer sell the small bottle rockets. As it was explained to me, these were banned based on a study of fireworks related fires found that small bottle rockets were much more likely to cause fires than any other consumer grade firework. This was due to their limited flight that often has them landing on roofs while still hot. By requiring bottle rockets to carry at least 4 grams of propellant, it gets them higher in the air and reduces the chance of landing on a house or field of dry grass while still hot.

Call Kamile... I seem to recall him mentioning that he has a closet full that he bought before they were banned.

They would not be worth a carp. Texas banned them in the mid 80's back when half the houses still had wood shingled roofs.
