    From what I understand, the source is not very reliable.

    I hope they don't. Leave the hybrid hug a tree crap to the Priuses and whatnot of the world. The Miata is not a base for some kind of experiment. It's a sports car give it some ommph and a great chassis and roll it out the door.

    Probably a Turbo Diesel with tons of torque that can run on B20 or French fry grease from Keller's Drive in :)

    Oh and that would probably get 70MPG
    Father and son project car with a FM 2.5 suspension.
