1990 Honda CRX
155k Miles No Rust
STS SCCA Autox
TTF NASA TT
For sale 1990 Honda CRX. This car is very fast and ready to race! It was built for autocross in STS and has proven to be extremely competitive taking home trophies in every national event it has been entered into this season. It is also works well as a reliable and economical daily driver (I've put almost 15k miles on it!) and gets over 40mpg on the highway and over 30mpg while towing a tire trailer (trailer and hitch not included)!
Chassis/Paint/Body
The chassis is very low mileage which is currently at 155k. I purchased it in stock form at around 142k last year. The chassis has ZERO rust which is next to incredibly tough to find on CRXs. The chassis is also very straight and has no signs of previous accident history, and I would be happy to provide underbody pics or put the car up on my lift for inspection for seriously interested buyers. The body was resprayed last winter with a fresh coat of gloss white, it looks great and it is holding up quite well!
Engine/Transmission/Clutch
The engine has been rebuilt recently and is healthy. I can provide more details and a compression test for serious buyers. The transmission is original but in great shape with no grinds. The clutch is new and the flywheel was resurfaced at the same time.
Interior
The interior is in very good condition. I spent a ton of time working on the interior to make it a nice place to be for long trips to out of town events. The carpet is brand new, the seats were steam cleaned, and the air ducts/evaporator/blower motor were all removed and cleaned out. The windows were tinted 35% all around less than a year ago. Currently the car has no stereo, and it does come with a complete air conditioning system but it is not currently installed.
Brakes/Suspension/Wheels
The car rides on AST aluminum bodied monotube shocks and 400/500lb springs. The car is very well setup, super fast, and it's very easy to drive. Most of the bushings have been replaced, in some places with polyurethane, and in some places hardened rubber. Most of the braking system is new, including the master cylinder, brake booster, SS lines, pads, and rotors. The car comes with stock wheels and falken azenis tires.
Notes
The title to this car is clean, free of liens, and in hand. I am located in Fort Worth, Texas. If you're local and would like to look at the car it is available for local viewing by appointment! If you are not local there are a number of people who have seen or driven the car and could give you a second opinion, or you can have the car inspected at a number of local shops. I would be happy to provide close up pictures of any area (including the underbody), compression test results, and I can put the car on the lift at my shop for inspection.
I would be happy to answer any questions/concerns from seriously interested parties. My asking price is $6000. I am not in any hurry to sell this car. If you have any price related questions or comments, or you would like to make an offer please use PM’s only!

This is a surprisingly fast and well set up car. I've driven it a few times myself and it's a blast! The best part about driving it is watching jaws drop when others see the lap times...![]()

I suspect that the lack of working/installed AC is making this one a little harder to sell, particularly in this heat! I know its a "race car", but getting 40mpg would make is a great dual use vehicle as well, if the AC was working. Still, that is a great looking CRX, and a well set up AX beast.

If I had the money, I'd take it off your hands.
My favorite car to watch when I'm chasing cones, is #199. But alas, I'll have to stick with my cheap NA (the only way I could convince myself to get another toy... was keep it cheap).
