Thread: Google Chrome??

  1. #1

    Question Google Chrome??

We loaded Google Chrome on the Kid's laptop she was having problems with IE playing You-tube and Faceplant. She has an old Gateway ML6720 running Vista but once school starts she gets a Macbook so I don't feel like spending any pennies on this thing.

Now with Google Chrome it runs great!

I know there has to be a catch or is Chrome as good as it seems so far???

    TIA

I switched to Chrome some time ago and haven't looked back. I like it a lot better than IE. I also like Picassa for managing pictures. I have them both on my "mini" that only has a 8 gig SSD and Chrome doesn't seem to take up as much space or use up resources. Of course I am a big fan of the Google search engine too. On rare occasions I get the little "crashed computer face" but I opt to wait because it's usually the site lagging, not a browser crash.

    +1 for Chrome. IE sucks!

I love Chrome! When Firefox started getting buggy on me, I made the leap to Chrome. I was shocked at how quick it loads stuff - good times.

    IE sucks, of course.

Started using Chrome within a few days of the beta being released and have never looked back. Chrome FTW.

+1 on Chrome. It wins based on the less is more principle. It does everything I need it to do and nothing that I don't.

I was on Firefox, but it started bugging the shit out of me with the add-ons and patching and yahoo mail would crash it every hour or so. FF is still far better than IE though.

I've been using Chrome for over a year now , It's great I was using IE at work but switched to Chrome and the It Department deleted it every night After 3 months we received a memo saying we could use Chrome if we wanted cause it was more reliable than IE.

I still mostly use Firefox. (It comes by default on most Linux distros) I have played around with Chrome on Linux though and it is definitely faster, I'm just waiting for all the extensions to come along..
