    Default Solstice coupe

I knew that the Pontiac Solstice was available as a coupe there towards the end. Somehow I had missed seeing one until today. I saw a black GXP version and liked it very much. You guys know anybody that has owned one? Maybe when they are 15 years old I may get one. If they aren't unobtainable collector cars by then.

Not the one I saw obviously

I see one everynow and then on airfield drive on my way home from work. It does look very nice, stands out alot from other cars when driving down the road, definitely eye catching. Looks more nice and expensive than im sure they were selling for. Not at all like a crossfire, lower and wider.

Yeah that pic looks distorted. I've seen exactly one on the road, and it was gorgeous. The GXP motor is peppy too.

But I'd have a hard time getting past the crappy interior (grumble, grumble...).

i drove a vert turbo sky we had as a used car and it was the worst execution of a sports car ever, of course the interior was crap and very uncomfortable. tires were crap and the brake pads felt like they were made from a block of wood. all in all over priced and crap

    260HP turbocharged peppy

I wanted the Saturn Sky Redline which is the same car but with more angular styling that I liked better. Ever since I saw that tire commercial with Mr and Mrs potato head I associate the roundness of the Solstise with Fat round potatoes lol.

My Ion has that same engine but it's turned for front wheel drive and is superchaged instead of turboed.

No thank you. I'd rather have an nc with a hardtop like Cory's.

I have seen a Solstice Coupe in the Allen area a few times and thought it was incredible looking. I actually first spotted it about 1 block in front of me and thought it was some sort of exotic or something... had to break some speed laws to catch up and get close enough to realize it was just a Solstice.

I can't say I've ever seen a Solstice coupe before - looks nice from the back.

I dated a girl in NY that had the vert. It was "cute" but I dreaded driving it.

The only solstice I have ever driven was on forza 3 and I never could get it to handle no matter how many credits I spent.
Like I said, 15 years from now I'll be 70 so who cares. It's all show and no go by then. Sorry Conecerned, nothing personal.

If they have the same interior room as the convertable then I won't own one. Even with the drivers seat the rear most possition my legs were still hitting the dash and console. I could not find a comfortable position.

Let's not forget that Soltices came in and handed Miatas their asses in SCCA C-Stock. It was not until Mazda persuaded the SCCA to make their MSR trunk packages legal that the Miata's reigned, again. I have not driven one, so I cannot comment on how they feel or the quality, but they certainly have skillz.

Great looking car, great performance specs, good used prices, but still hard to get past GM quality reputation over the long-term.
