    Sam,

Unless you are having problems with your axles you do not have to take the axles off at the wheel hubs do install the rear end. That hugh nut is almost impossible to break loose. Just remove the bolt on the lower half of the wheel hub and then using a crow bar or similar, snap the axles out of the diff. There is more to this, but this should speed things up.

Thanks for the tip Gary! I've read that 32mm nut is torqued at over 200 ft. lbs!

It really wasn't too bad. Took about 3 hours or so. (We ended up swapping the entire carrier assembly instead of just the guts.)

Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

Must get the header in first. I should have it back from the Ceramic Coater tomorrow. Now I need to find a short O2 sensor (Ataim, you get that part number?) and I need to get a new manifold gasket. Autozone doesn't stock it, nor Pepboys. I am debating ordering it online or trying to get to a stealership during business hours.

Go to Town North mazda, ask for Cary and ask for the Track Dog Racing discount. He will give you anywhere from 10 to 20% off.
