You can always get a white jump suit or coveralls. White motorcycle helmets are cheap and you can use it later for the occasional autocross of HPDE.
Hey guys, weird request I know, but my friend's nephews (ages 6 and 8 ) are beginning to get into Top Gear. I thought it would be hilarious for "The Stig" to show up as a trick-or-treater at their house on Halloween and freak them out.
I'm looking for a white racing suit and helmet, probably used, possibly borrowed. Any ideas where those items could be borrowed/rented? I'm not a track guy, so don't know these kinds of things.
Regards.
I have a few spare older full faced helmets that you could have or borrow if you don't want to dispose of them when you're done. None are white, so you'd have to paint them, but I have no use for them and they are too old for HPDEs (not sure if auto-xs care). Visors are clear but crack and chip free. At least they were when I packed them to move here.
If you're going to dress up as the Stig, you have to have the right helmet. Otherwise you're just some crazy in a white jumpsuit.
I have a Simpson Super Bandit that I retired this year. It even has the "correct" iridium tinted visor. I'd be happy to loan it out, as long as I can get it back in the same condition.

the stig doesn't understand the concept of Halloween,
Some say...the Stig's "attachments" look like small pumpkins.

Of the pumpkins?
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Yes pictures (not of the pumpkins) would be in order.
@Iain My wife saw the picture of your helmet and said "Oh my God, that's the helmet" (she's a big Top Gear fan too, God love her). So I may come calling around Halloween. Thanks for the offer.
I'll have to look into "jumpsuits". I'm not a fan of doing it half-arsed if a real racing suit can be found, but it could be a backup.
The set-up will have to be just right. I'll need to have my friend watch an episode with the kids sometime before heading over, then tell him to make his kids answer the door. Too bad I don't have a Ferrari/Aston/Zonda/McClaren that I can have sitting at the curb.
